Wambach considering 2016 Games

MANCHESTER, England (AP) ? Abby Wambach is feeling more confident that she'll be able to play with the U.S. women's soccer team through the next Olympics.

The 32-year-old forward said Sunday that she's been playing pain-free at the London Games after three years of trying nearly everything to deal with persistent Achilles' tendinitis.

"It's eased over the last couple of weeks, and I am happy," she said. "I've even been talking about for sure playing through the next Olympics right now if my body can hold up."

Wambach has scored 142 international goals, 16 short of Mia Hamm's world record.

The Americans play Canada on Monday in the semifinals. Canada is led by Christine Sinclair, who has 140 career goals.
