Phuket holds 'Save Energy Training Project' by Phuket Index News

On 16th July 2012 at Phuket Community Hall, Mr.Somkiet Sankhawsutthirak ? Deputy Governor of Phuket together with Mr.Jirasak Thammawech ? Phuket Energy Office held a ?Save Energy Training Project? for a number of Phuket?s student.
Mr.Jirasak said ?Energy is essential to life; everyone needs energy and the amount needed is rising every day. Unfortunately, Thailand doesn?t have enough of its own sources to provide energy and therefore we have to import from other sources. Too much budget is spent importing energy every year, especially to Phuket. Phuket, is a small province, but is in the top ten provinces when it comes to use of energy, mainly due to the 8million or so tourists that visit every year.?
The objective of the training project was to educate youths with regards to energy, which is limited and could be lost in the future. It is hoped that by training Thailand?s next generation they will take their knowledge back to their schools and families and spread their knowledge amongst other.
