Jersey is a 6-year-old female Rottweiler mix with a lot of love to give. She was surrendered to the shelter after her previous owner became ill and was no longer able to care for her. She can be a little shy in unfamiliar situations but warms up quickly. She would do best in a quieter home without small children. She bonds well with people and will make a great addition to her new family. More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays; 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Diehl Road in Naperville or at napervilleareahumanesociety.org. ADOPT Pet Shelter Mishy is a male with a thick white coat. He came to the shelter about a month ago and just had his ninth birthday. He is a big boy who is a cuddly adorable purring machine. He starts purring the minute you start talking to him. He just loves attention and likes to snuggle close and is super laid back. He would make a great best friend for anyone. Windsor came to ADOPT as part of a rescue transfer from Kentucky. He is a 2-year-old yellow Labrador retriever. They suspect he was raised as an outdoor dog because he loves to be outside. He enjoys being around people and is good with kids. Windsor is working on commands and knows sit and come. In training, he prefers tennis balls as a reward. To learn more about the cats and dogs available for adoption, contact ADOPT Pet Shelter at 630-355-2299. The shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit, animal shelter at 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville. Visit adoptpetshelter.org.
